​National Lake Trout Derby on Seneca Lake 

​

      OFFICIAL DERBY RULES

​

                1.             Conducted under the rules and regulations of the current NYS Dept. of Environment                                   Conservation Guide.

​

           2.             The Derby will be held on Seneca Lake, May 24,25,26 2025

​

           3.             The contestants must be pre-registered.

​

           4.             All eligible occupants of any participating boat must be registered.

​

           5.             Trout and salmon caught in Seneca Lake ONLY will be eligible for prizes

​

           6.             A contestant is not eligible to win more than one award with the same fish.

​

           7.             Fishing will be from 5:00 a.m. Saturday to 12:00 noon Monday.

​

           8.             Weigh stations are open between 7:00am and 7:00pm on Saturday and Sunday.

                           On Monday fish must be entered prior to 12:00 pm at both weigh stations.

​

           9.             Contestants must present Registration Card for prize.

​

           10.           Official headquarters at Stivers Seneca Marine Waterloo, NY.

​

           11.            All fish entered in the Derby will be officially judged by the Derby Judges and their                                       decisions will be final.

 

   12.           Any winner may be required to take a Polygraph Test and must produce a valid N.Y.                            State Fishing License.

​

           13.           In the event of ties, prizes will be split.

           

           14.           Length of fish is the first tie-breaker.
